Where and when did you serve? What did you do?
I served in El Salvador from 2006 to 2008 as a Youth Development volunteer.
What is one of your favorite Peace Corps memories?
Being an adult playing tag in the park with a bunch of kids of all ages in flip-flops, and laughing.
What is one of your least favorite Peace Corps memories?
Diarrhea…
What do you miss about the Peace Corps?
The simplicity of life, getting one thing done a day… and markets.
What is something you learned in the Peace Corps?
Education can change your life, knowing jokes in another language is a bonus, and connecting people to people or resources is extremely rewarding.
Do you have a favorite quote or local saying?
Puchica- holy crap, it can be vulgar or not depending on the situation.
